I think they should set the minimum win to be £5 on a £1 ticket and increment the minimum win by £5 for each £1 after that.
The main problem I′ve with lottery tickets isn't the minimum win, it's the way they keep on selling tickets when the “Grand Prizes” have already been won months ago.
My Mrs. and I had a blazing row about that one day because she said they can't keep selling tickets for a “£100,000″ cash prize if the prize has been won so I went to the local shop, bought one, showed her the terms and conditions on the back, scratched it off and lost.
It was worth £1 to win the argument.

Its even more annoying when you buy a $5 word search and even the bonus word is only worth $7 and you still loose, last year everytime I purchased one I got $7, $12 and $25 everytime i bought one, now cant win a light, might as well have saved my money lol!
