Why would people ever think about to play Russian Roulette?

Posted on November 6, 2008

It's a game that involves death, what sort of game is that?

I watched The Deer Hunter lastnight and things like that probably did happen in real life.

Does anyone know if this sort of game still goes on in the world this day?

Answer:
Russian Roulette is usually used as a form of torture by the unimaginative. I went through interrogation/resistance training, and part of the training was on many of the techniques used. This was one of the methods talked about.

Yes it does still go on in the world this day. Just a couple of months ago a person killed himself while playing in Los Lunas, NM. Reportedly they′d been drinking too much rum, and somewhere along the lines they wanted to convince themselves of how tough they were.

*shrug*

Answer:
Person often play it in high stakes situations.

for example in some prisons in south america where it is so bad the prisoners actually have firearms.

If you do not play you could be marked as a weak person and then killed in the yard anyway. also some persons are literally insane and believe they cannot die because they′re lucky or don’t really see a difference between life and death.

in the end no sane or rational person would do it under normal circumstances.

Answer:
Unfortunately the “game” still does exist and it's a stupid risk. You use a 6-shot revolver that has only one bullet in the chamber. Chances are 1 in 6 that you’ll die when you pull the trigger.

The actor Jon-Erik Hexum accidentally shot himself to death in 1984 with a gun that he thought was empty but was in fact loaded with blanks which are still lethal if fired from close range.

Answer:
wasn't it invented by russian soldiers? they were, i'd imagine, so caught up in the horrors of war they really didn't care if they lived or died. if they died they left behind their desperate lives, and if they lived they impressed their peers. also i'd imagine that vodka played a part in their suicidal desperation/bravado.

and no i don't know of anyone who plays this kind of game. bit risky of you ask me.

Answer:
The good thing about Russian Roulette is that unlike other forms of Gambling, you can only get addicted to it if you’re a winning player.

Answer:
the biggest gamble of your life its basicly saying your so sure you would be your life or ur life is worthless and you can only gain

Answer:
Because Russian Roulette is fun but I always lose try not to lose if u decide to play

Answer:
I don't know what goes through people's minds when they play that deadly game… but probably a lot of alcohol, may be drugs and peer pressure are the contributing factors.

Answer:
because of the many amounts of Vodka used, and we all know some drunk people think they’re invisible when drunk.

Answer:
I'm sure there are people crazy enough to try it.

Answer:
No i enjoy life to much. That's for losers.

Answer:
cos you’ve more chance of hitting a winner than in normal roulette!
